Where are VENIM jackets produced?

Our jackets are designed and made in beautiful San Francisco, California. Customization and finishing takes place in-house at our studio, while sewing is completed by a third party factory. Laundering takes place in Los Angeles, California, where strict water-recycling regulations have been put in place. All of our manufacturing facilities follow strict California labor law and fair wage practices.

Where do you source your denim from?

VENIM jackets are produced from the excess/unused yardage of other designer denim brands (also known as "liability fabric"). We specifically source our liability fabric from the best heritage denim mills around the world, which currently include Japan, Turkey, and the United States of America.

Are any of your jackets made with stretch denim (Spandex or Lycra content)?

No. All of our jackets are made with 100% cotton, 11.5 to 12-ounce denim. We don't use stretch denim because it doesn't meet our standards of quality and durability. Stretch fibers break down much faster than natural cotton fibers, causing denim garments to wear out after only a few years when they should be built to last decades. Our jackets are designed to have a looser and more relaxed fit, which also doesn't warrant a need for expandable fabric.

Do your jackets use any animal products or testing?

Absolutely not. Our products and packaging are 100% free of animal-based materials and testing. They also pass California's Proposition 65 law so they're safe for humans, too.

Do your jackets contain any nickel or lead?

No. We manufacture our metal buttons specifically to be nickel-free. The materials used for our jackets and custom finishes pass California's Proposition 65 law and our vinyl components are Oeko-Tex® Standard 100-certified, meaning that they pass the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes. You are able to cancel your order within 24 hours of purchase. If you would like to cancel your order, please contact us immediately at hello@venim.com with your cancellation request and order number.

How does your sizing work?

In an effort to eradicate traditional sizing methods (which often discriminate against gender and body type), we developed our own unique unisex sizing that employs numeric labels and uses significant "jumps" between sizes in order to accommodate a wider range of upper body measurements.

VENIM jackets are designed to fit and flatter the most body types possible, regardless of gender and while unconventional, our size table reflects our core values of diversity and inclusivity.

How do I determine my size in VENIM?

All of our product pages display a size chart, which includes a conversion table, measurements, and images to help you determine your ideal size and fit. To view this module, click on the "View Size Chart" link on the product page.

How do I take care of my VENIM jacket?

Denim rarely requires laundering, but in the event that you must wash your jacket, please keep it away from heat at all costs. Turn your jacket inside-out and then hand-wash or machine wash on delicate cycle with cold water only. Hang to dry or tumble dry (separately or with soft fabrics, only) on low heat before turning right-side out.

We suggest spot-cleaning your jacket with a soft brush and natural solvent as an alternative to full submersion washing.

Do these care instructions apply to metallic foil finishes or racing stripes?

Yes, however these finishes are even more susceptible to damage from heat and abrasion. We strongly suggest only hand-washing your jacket in cold water and hang drying to prolong the life of your custom finish and avoiding contact with abrasive surfaces such as concrete and sand.
